Supercritical CO2 extraction of grape seed oil: Effect of process parameters on the extraction kinetics
The effect of 7 variables affecting seed oil SC-CO 2 extraction was investigated. The extraction rate (ER) did not depend on bed porosity ɛ for 0.23 ≤ ɛ ≤ 0.41.The lower was the extractor D/L ratio, the lower the specific CO 2 consumption.Internal (k s), external (k f) mass transfer coefficients by BIC model best fitting.
College of Engineering and Technology, East Carolina University, Slay Building, Mail Stop 117, Greenville, NC, 27858 USA ... This work presents a scale-up and feasibility study for the establishment of supercritical CO 2 extraction plants to produce grape seeds
Supercritical fluid extraction of seed oils – A short review of current trends
Conclusion. Supercritical fluid (SF) extraction (SFE) has been recognized as one of the most effective methods and environmentally-benign methods to extract seed oils. The application of a SFE, particularly using SC-CO 2 provides a safe, fast, selective, and a low temperature extraction of seed oils.
Under these optimal conditions, the predicted extraction oil yield was 14.49% and DPPH 37.07%. Applying this green extraction method, the oil from grape seeds was totally extracted. The produced oil was of satisfactory quality, and the content of α-tocopherol .

[5][6][7] Due to its nutritional value, grape seed oil's market is growing. 2 The oil composition, yield and quality are directly influenced by the extraction technique and by the solvent used to
2.1.2.2. SFE experimental procedure The extractor vessel was first pre-heated at the desired temperature (for 45 to 60 min).Grounded grape seeds (200.0 ± 0.1 g) were introduced into the extractor vessel, above a PET filter (0,45 μm, Sefar-Fyltis, France) to prevent the seed particles to clog the CO 2 circulation lines.
Grape seed oil extraction: Interest of supercritical fluid extraction and gas-assisted mechanical extraction for enhancing
These techniques are used to extract grape stem crude oil, which needs to be refined before it can be utilized in the grocery industry. Through the physico-chemical procedures of purification
The optimal microwave extraction conditions were found to be: material/liquid ratio, 1:15; extraction time, 10 min; temperature, 70 ℃; and microwave power, 700 W, and the optimal refining conditions for crude oil were NaOH concentration 4.13 mol/L, excess alkali quantity 0.5%, and initial temperature 50 ℃. The physicochemical properties of
Effect of the Process Parameters on the Oil Extraction Yield During Supercritical Fluid Extraction from Grape Seed, Science, Technology, Medicine
Effect of the process parameters on the oil extraction yield 615 3.1 Effect of pressure The effect of pressure on the extraction of oil from grape seeds was investigated with sc-CO 2 at pressures of 20 MPa and 30 MPa. The temperature, mas flow and particle size
This means that one kilogram of seed may produce 67.5 to 98.5 g of oil. The quantity of the pressed oil ranges from 67.5 to 98.5 g.kg⁻¹ and thus depends on the variety. The measured results can
