All of them. But I noticed in my 1993 Z28 when I switched, pressure was a little low. Now. Have been experiencing a problem with low pressure. So low in fact, the check gauges light would come on. After doing some research came to the conclusion that it was one of three things. 1-the oil. Synthetic oils have a different flow characteristic
1999 LS1 Oil Pressure. Hi Guys, After almost 5 years since I sold my ´99 manual Z28, I have bought another one !!, this time also a 99 but with automatic transmission. I do not remember of the old one what were the normal values of operation for oil pressure and I have seen that this one operates in low ranges.

BigBowtie85. If its anywhere near 10-20 psi warm, it's normal. People always freak out about the oil pressure once they get a car that actually has a gauge for it. 40-60 cold is pretty normal at startup, 10-20 when its warm is too. Oil pressure will drop when the oil warms up because its resistance to flow (aka viscosity) changes.

Also on forged internals for ~8000 miles, oil pressure on mine is around 40 psi on cold starts, goes down to 32-33 once warmed up and cruising, mid-40s under intermediate load and maybe 65-70 at WOT (I don't stare at the gauge cluster at WOT, so it's approximate).

81. Black. 2002 WS6 Trans Am. Oil pressure needle bouncing around. My oil pressure gauge is bouncing around in a way that it had never done before. It is moving back and forth very quickly, but not the entire range of the gauge. Kinda like a 1/4 inch back and forth. This is on a 2002 WS6 Trans Am.
Just did a heads, Cam and oil pump on a 02 z28, When i have the scanner on the oil pressure is reading neagative 15.4 but the gauge in the car is showing 60lbs, I have update to the new version and it still does it, anyone ever have this problem before? thanks. AL. 06-24-2013 #2.
