Neem oil is widely used in agricultural products, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals. Neem oil extraction usually has three different ways: pressing, steam distillation, and solvent extraction, which is mostly used for soap manufacturing. The method of extracting neem oil influences the quality and composition of the neem oil obtained.
The main objective of the current reach work is to utilize the waste neem seed powder post-oil extraction for catalyst synthesis and use it for biodiesel production. The powdered carbon material is further modified by impregna-tion of KOH by 0.5 to 2.5 wt% and characterized by vari-ous techniques (SEM, EDS, and BET).
