Case study of chemical and enzymatic degumming ..., Nature
Soybean oil was produced worldwide, constituting about half of edible vegetable oil and thirty percent of all fats and oils produced, including animal fats and oils derived from tropical plants 2.
Oil content of baobab seeds is about 10 – 30%. The cleaned Baobab Seeds are subjected to conditioning in a vertical / horizontal stack cooking kettle. The kettle uses steam for indirectly heating the Baobab Seeds. The kettle is specially designed to achieve a temperature of minimum 110°C at the outlet with a retention time of minimum 60 minutes.
Aspergillus niger boosted heat stress tolerance in sunflower
Whereas, endophyte-inoculated soybean has 51% and sunflower has 35% more protein at 40°C while, at 25°C soybean has36% and sunflower has 44% more proteins as compared to endophyte-free plants (Figure 6 B). At 40°C, A. niger-aligned soybean has 11% and sunflower has 29% more soluble sugars while, at 25°C soybean has 11% and sunflower has 15%
extraction of oil contains approximately 30% protein and 23% crude fiber. Niger oil has a fatty acid composition typical for seed oils of the Asteraceae plant family (for example, safflower and sunflower) with linoleic acid being the dominant fatty acid. The linoleic acid content of niger oil was approximately 55% in seed grown
Effect of Aspergillus niger fermented soybean meal
Commercial solvent extracted soybean meal (SBM) and sunflower oil cake (SFC) were fermented using the fungus, Aspergillus niger. A 45-day indoor feeding trial was carried out to assess the effect of these fermented ingredients on growth, carcass composition and haemolymph indices in Penaeus vannamei.

Refined soybean oil wastewater treatment and its utilization
Background The release of refined soybean oil wastewater (RSOW) with a high chemical oxygen demand (COD) and oil content burdens the environment. The conversion of RSOW into lipids by oleaginous yeasts may be a good way to turn this waste into usable products. Results The oleaginous yeast Trichosporon fermentans was used for treating the RSOW without sterilization, dilution, or nutrient
To find a lipase for synthesis of flavor esters in food processing, a total of 35 putative lipases from Aspergillus niger F0215 were heterologously expressed and their esterification properties in crude preparations were examined. One of them, named An-lipase with the highest esterification rate (23.1%) was selected for further study. The purified An-lipase had the maximal activity at 20 °C
Effect of Storage on Germination and Viability of Soybean
The soybean is preeminent for its high (38–45%) protein content as well as its high (approximately 20%) oil content. Soybean is the one of the most valuable crop in central part of India. The bulk of the soybean crop is grown for oil production. A smaller percentage of soybeans are used directly for human consumption.
