Rice Bran Oil: Emerging Trends in Extraction, Health Benefit
Rice bran oil (RBO) is unique among edible vegetable oils because of its unique fatty acid composition, phenolic compound (γ-oryzanol, ferulic acid) and vitamin E (tocopherol and tocotrienol). It has become a great choice of cooking oil because of its very high burning point, neutral taste and delicate flavour.
Rice Bran Pre-pressing Machine: Pre-processing generally includes the processes of screening and heating, set for making the rice bran well prepared for oil extraction, just like extraction of other oilseeds. The purpose of heating is stabilize the rice bran materials. There are two methods of stabilization, chemicals or using heat.
Extraction and utilization of rice bran oil: A review
Rice bran oil (RBO) is obtained through extraction of rice bran which is a by-product of the rice milling industries. There are several techniques used for the extraction of the RBO, but solvent
1) Firstly, to pump crude rice bran oil into oil refining tank with heat conduction oil, and the temperature will reach about 70°C-80°C in one hour, then add acid or alkali to separate rice bran oil according to the acid value. After one hour’s processing and 4-6 hours deposit, then to convey soap stock to storage tank;
A short review of green extraction technologies for rice bran oil
Their results show that it is possible to obtain a maximum oil yield of 20.05 g/100 g rice bran in a three-hour extraction in ethanol with 6% of water at 82.5 °C, with a 4:1 w/w solvent-to-bran ratio and a stirring speed of 137.5 rpm. The -. γ. oryzanol content varies between 1527 and 4164 mg/kg of fresh rice bran.
Extraction at 60°C for ten minutes with 3:1 solvent to bran ratio using hexane solvent yielded about 3.6% more oil, while extraction with isopropanol produces 6.4% more oil than at 40°C. The yield of liquid propane was created to yield about 22.4% of oil in kg of rice bran at 0.76 MPa and ambient temperature.

Rice bran oil is widely used in the chemical industry, surfactants, cosmetics, and spices, such as acetylation of rice bran oil due to easy to form of waterproof protective films, and soft regulating function, thus, can be used as a hand or body moisturizer, softener, etc., and rice bran oil product production can also be used in shampoo
RBO is edible oil extracted from rice bran which is a by-product of rice mills. RBO is superior among the other edible oils because it contains unique antioxidants and nutraceutical complexes present in its composition (Oliveira et al., 2012). In the unsaponi fiable fraction of RBO contains g-oryzanol and tocols.
Optimization of Oil Extraction from Rice Bran with Mixed
Compared with traditional solvent extraction, the peroxide value, acid value, iodine value, and fatty acid composition content of rice bran oil extracted using the new mixed solvent were close to those of n-hexane and significantly lower than those of solvent No. 6, while the content of oryzanol and total sterol increased to 2.7% and 5.1%. This
One significant byproduct of the rice milling industry is rice bran oil (RBO), which contains a range of phytochemicals with potential uses in food, medicine, and cosmetics (Lemus et al., 2014). 90%–96% of the crude RBO is composed of saponifiable lipids, whereas 4% is made up of unsaponifiable lipids. Triglycerides make up 68–71% of the
