The Petroleum Authority of Uganda has revealed that the Ugandan government has chosen UAE-based Alpha MBM Investments as the preferred bidder for a planned $4bn domestic oil refinery. The Tilenga Project is operated by TotalEnergies (56.67%), in partnership with CNOOC (28.33%) and UNOC (15%). Tilenga and Kingfisher production is planned to reach 230,000 barrels of oil per day (at plateau).
