Cold pressed rapeseed (Brassica napus) oil
Cold pressing is a process to obtain oil and cake. Cold pressed oil was purified through the plate filter and then canned to get the oil. Next, the cold pressed cake is sent to the expansion process. The expansion is conducted by heating the cold pressed cake to 90°C in a cooker and then delivering it to an expander.
Whereas, the basic quality parameters of the rapeseeds also showed influences on the phenolic content of the final oils. Cold-pressing was conducted using hydraulic or screw press coupled with a cooling system, and the maximum outlet temperature was reported to be 50 °C and 25 °C, respectively, but these parameters might slightly vary with the mechanical and processing conditions (Chew, 2020b).
