Grape seed oil extraction: Interest of supercritical fluid extraction and gas-assisted mechanical extraction for enhancing polyphenol co
2.1.2.2. SFE experimental procedure The extractor vessel was first pre-heated at the desired temperature (for 45 to 60 min).Grounded grape seeds (200.0 ± 0.1 g) were introduced into the extractor vessel, above a PET filter (0,45 μm, Sefar-Fyltis, France) to prevent the seed particles to clog the CO 2 circulation lines.
Understanding Grape Seed Oil Extraction. September 20, 2023 Oilseed Processing. Although grapes are one of the most popular fruits in the world, most grapes are grown not to supply produce stands but to produce wine. More than 60% of the global grape production is crushed every year to make vino —generating large amounts of leftover
UM200 Cold Press Oil Machine
With ULIMAC’s UM200 cold press oil machine you press homemade oil from all oil-rich seeds and nuts. Our UM200 oil press has high extraction efficiency and allows you to make your own natural oil. The UM200 cold press oil machine model is a new generation cold press used in oil extraction and processing plants to extract oil at a lower
Three levels of variables, including pressure (3.8∼10 MPa), temperature (313∼333 K) and CO 2 mole fraction (0.1∼0.5 mol/mol), were selected as the operating conditions to extract grape seed oil using CXE prior to the RSM trials. Fig. 2 showed the overall extraction curves of the oil yield extracted versus time.
Bioactive Phytochemicals from Grape Seed Oil-Processing By-Products
Beveridge et al. [ 32] reported linoleic acid content of 66.8–73.6% in the seed oils of seven different grape varieties. The oleic acid content is between 12% and 19%; among the saturated fatty acids, palmitic acid has a percentage ranging from 6.28% to 8.62%, while stearic acid is between 3.60% and 5.26%.
Biodiesel is an alternative to fossil diesel, non-toxic, and less pollutant. The production of biodiesel occurs with the use of oils, which are extracted from oleaginous seeds such as soybean, rapeseed, and palm fruit. The extraction of oils from oilseeds is one bottleneck of biodiesel production impacting on significant processes’ losses and productivity. This review analyzes different

The optimal condition was 15 C with an ultrasonic wave amplitude of 42 µm, leading to a process yield of 82.9% and content of free radicals of 14.7 × 10 17 kg −1 and 3.4 × 10 18 kg −1 for samples stored for 7 and 30 days, respectively.
Optimisation of supercritical CO 2 extraction of grape seed oil using response surface methodology, Institute of Food Science and Technology
Extraction pressure has proven to be the most significant factor influencing oil yield and antioxidant activity (P < 0.0001). The optimal conditions for obtaining the highest oil yield and antioxidant activity within the experimental range of the variables studied were at extraction pressure of 400 bar and temperature of 41 °C.
This work presents a scale-up and feasibility study for the establishment of supercritical CO 2 extraction plants to produce grape seeds oil. The scale-up factors are determined using experimental and modelling results based on seeds from six grape cultivars over 2 harvest years.
