The document provides details of a proposed vegetable oil refinery project. It discusses that crude vegetable oils obtained from various mills require further refining before use. The refining process removes impurities and renders the oils safe for human consumption. The project will refine groundnut, sesame, and mustard oils and has good market potential due to growing demand for edible oils

CHINA INDEPENDENT OIL REFINERIES: Yulong set to alter competitive landscape in Shandong
The refining landscape in the province comprises four Sinopec refineries, about 48 small and big independent refineries, and hundreds of chemical plants located in Dongying, Zibo, Weifang, and Heze. Located on Yulong island in Yantai city, the Yulong plant also enjoys lower logistical costs with convenient shipping facilities.
Growth in traditional vegetable oil production has stimulated private development, as demonstrated by the increased number of mills in the northern part of the country, from six at project start-up to more than 30 today. This is the first IFAD-funded project to have attracted substantial investment from a private-sector partner.
