The oil pan could be cracked or been punctured as well. I had root from a tree go through the oil pan on my Cat and it cost me an engine. I wasn't driving it when it happened though. The root found the 2 1/2" opening in the belly pan for the drain plug. The engine in your 550G should be Case/Cummins 4cylinder 3.9L. Dave
Re: Case 450C low trans pressure... Root, just for redundancy check the trans oil level again. If it's like mine you are supposed to check it fully warmed up with the torque converter engaged...i.e. pushing against a tree. Low oil will cause your symptoms.
