PIA officiates operation of the country’s largest soy processing plant
Adetikope Industrial Platform is proud to officially announce the full operationality of Togo Soja, the local Soya processing plant located in the area,” PIA announced. With a total investment of US$25M (approximately 15.2 billion FCFA), Togo Soja has 2 processing units that will be used to produce soybean oil and cakes.
The two factories, also equipped with refining units, will produce edible soybean oil, de-oil cakes, lecithin, soybean pieces, roasted soybeans and soybean meal. The PIA indicates that “the production of soybean oil will replace the import of edible oils in the country,” and expects more than 350 jobs for the Togolese.
