Investigation on walnut kernel oil extraction using different
For the pressing method, the maximum extraction efficiency was 43.2% when drying time was 20 min. The optimal extraction conditions were as follows: extraction temperature of 50 ℃, extraction time of 60 min, ultrasonic power of 180 W, solid/liquid ratio of 1:11 g.mL -1, and the yield of walnut oil was 59.1%.

Modeling for extraction of oil from walnut and sesame
The response variables analyzed were oil yield (OY), fine solid content (FC) in oil, and oil quality parameters. Fitted models for OY indicated maximum predicted values similar to the highest experimental values. Walnut oil extractions showed a maximum OY (84.5 ± 2.3 %) at 7.21% SMC, and 10 mm RD.
The oil yields of AEP, SAAE and SSAE were 44.7%, 55.3% and 91.2%, respectively. This difference further validated the fact that Span 20 could effectively destabilize the emulsion and improve oil recovery during extraction of walnut. Effect of oil extraction methods on walnut oil quality
The reason for the high AV of SCB-walnut oil may be that free fatty acids were more easily dissolved in carbon dioxide. The peroxide values(PV) (0.01–0.04 mg/100 g) obtained from different oil extraction methods for walnut oil were much lower than the recommended levels for commercial edible vegetable oils (≤0.26 mg/100 g).
