Oil content of baobab seeds is about 10 – 30%. The cleaned Baobab Seeds are subjected to conditioning in a vertical / horizontal stack cooking kettle. The kettle uses steam for indirectly heating the Baobab Seeds. The kettle is specially designed to achieve a temperature of minimum 110°C at the outlet with a retention time of minimum 60 minutes.

The Sesame seeds have been sown in July and August in Burkina Faso, during the rainy season. The crops are now in full production and will be ready for harvest in October. The plants will be bundled and dried for a few weeks, before the seeds are separated. OLVEA will then transform them into Sesame seed oil in its green plant in Burkina Faso.
