Palm oil is an important product used for food and industrial purposes such as vegetable oil, margarines, seasoning for noodles, confectionery as well as personal care products in Nigeria. In 2012, demand for palm oil in Nigeria was about 1.4 million tons valued at about 406 billion naira.
