Soybean hulls as carbohydrate feedstock for medium to high

Economics of plant oil recovery: A review
The U.S. plant oil market is expected to reach USD 3.78 billion in 2024 ( Grand View Reseach, 2016 ). With the growth of plant oil market, U.S. processors are expected to increase plant capacity up to about 5% from existing capacity, especially for soybean oil plant in 2019 ( Hirtzer, 2017 ).
The company’s Cairo, Illinois plant will also contribute to the venture, with Chevron contributing approximately $600 million in cash to the project. Plans include approximately doubling the combined capacity of these facilities from 7,000 tons per day by the end of 2024.
Cargill to invest U.S. $100 million to double capacity at its

Domestic disappearance for soybean meal has captured the bulk of the increase, jumping 500 thousand tons to 38.6 million in 2021/22.
