Double Chamber Oil Expeller for extracting corn germs oil, cake, Makkai Tel Aur Khal, CSNL Oil
The cottonseed cake used for this experiment was a product of dry extrusion of whole cottonseeds at 121 to 149 °C for 12 to 20 seconds. Three experimental diets were formulated each containing 45.03% corn silage, 4.33% Bermuda grass hay, 10.8% ground corn, 9.5% citrus pulp, plus 0.43% urea on a dry matter (DM) basis.

Corn Germ Cake, MEFSCO
Corn Germ Cake is the cake obtained after the removal of oil from the dried corn germs. The corn germs are obtained from the wet milling of corn, and the oil is removed only by pressure. APPLICATION:
XRD patterns of (A) refined corn oil oleogels; and (B) expeller-pressed corn germ oil oleogels with rice bran wax at various concentrations (3, 5, 7, and 9 wt%) at 25 °C. All refined corn oil oleogels showed three major peaks at 4.60 Å, 4.16 Å, and 3.74 Å with varying intensity as the concentration of RBX changes ( Fig. 4 A).
Corn Germ, an overview | ScienceDirect Topics
Corn germ oil ( Zea mays) Corn germ oil is a by-product of the corn oil milling process. Most corn that is harvested is used as feed but the proportion of the corn that is milled is increasing because of bioethanol production. During the wet milling process, the germ is isolated from the starch using cyclone separators, washed, and dried.
Color and texture analysis of expeller-pressed corn germ oil and refined corn oil oleogels. The appearance, color parameters (L*, a*, and b*), and texture (hardness) of oleogels prepared using refined corn oil and EP corn germ oil with different concentrations (3, 5, 7, and 9 wt%) of RBX were shown in Fig. 1.
Formation, characterization, and potential food application
In this study, the influence of sunflower wax (SFX) concentration (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 wt%) on the properties of oleogels prepared using expeller-pressed corn germ oil (EPC) or high oleic soybean
In this study, the influence of sunflower wax (SFX) concentration (1, 3, 5, 7, and 9 wt%) on the properties of oleogels prepared using expeller-pressed corn germ oil (EPC) or high oleic soybean oil (EPS) was comprehensively investigated. Overall, oleogels can be prepared from both EP oils at an SFX level ≥3 wt%.
