Cold pressed niger (Guizotia abyssinica Cass.) seed oil
Food adulteration is a serious social problem all over the world. The oil obtained from the niger and sesame is known for its quality and has a high market value in Ethiopia. The cost of the oil obtained from these oilseed crops is high unlike other plant oils, thus prone to be mixed with other cheap oils to increase profits.
The oil yield of niger seeds obtained by cold pressing was 28.3 g/100 g while by hexane and ethanol extractions was 38.3 and 29.7 g/100 g respectively. The lipid classification of the extracted niger seed oils showed neutral lipids (65.9–95.5 %), glycolipids (2.7–24.6 %) and phospholipids (1.8–9.5 %).
Cold Pressed Oil Project Report, Plan, Subsidy, Loans, Cost
The minimum budget required for establishing a mini cold pressed oil extractor includes-. Costs involved in land expenses for establishing is Rs. 2,00,000. Costs involved in equipment and materials purchase is Rs. 3,00,000. Costs involved for labour is Rs. 50,000. Costs involved in purchasing materials is Rs. 1,50,000.
Niger seeds yield niger oil and niger oil cake. Niger oil cake is a feed rich in protein, oil, fiber, free from any toxic substance, and suited to all classes of livestock that can digest fibrous feeds. The niger plant is a stout, erect annual herb, that grows up to a height of 2 m (Mariod, Mirghani, & Hussein, 2017).
THE CONTENT AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITY OF PHENOLIC COMPOUNDS IN
The total phenolic acid content of flaxseed meal on a dry-weight basis, as reported by Wanasundara and Shahidi (1994), ranged from about 130 to 220 mg/100 g, as ferulic acid equivalents. Choo et al. (2007) showed a total phenolic acid content of 76.8–307.3 mg/100 g in cold-pressed flaxseed oils.
The plant attains heights of 4 to 6 feet and bears 1 to 2 inch diameter yellow flowers. Niger plant is cultivated for its oils as well as its seeds. The seeds can be eaten fried and are also used as a condiment or spice. In some cultures, the seeds are pressed with honey or ground into a powder that is mixed with flour for making sweet cakes.

Cold-pressed oils contain more polar phenols, the concentration of which varies from 18- to 99-ppm caffeic acid equivalents (CAEs) (Koski et al. 2003). Olive oil is believed to be most stable because of its high quantity of phenols ( Maniak and Targoński 1996 ).
Cold pressing is an art that uses pressure to extract the most medicinally rich oils from plant matter without heating the organic matter. Cold pressing preserves the nutrients, flavor, and quality of plant oils, which makes them beneficial for health, beauty, and wellness. Cold pressing is mainly used for extracting oils from citrus fruits
GC-MS and HPLC-DAD analysis of fatty acid profile
Plant oils were extracted by cold-pressing from different plant parts of the plant material, specifically those which could yield oil. All plant materials were purchased and collected from the agricultural areas in Chiang Mai province (the Northern Thailand, latitudinally and longitudinally extended by 18 47′ 22.5″ N to 99 00′ 04.2″ E and 19 29′ 06.6″ N to 99 01′ 13.2″ E
The Bull Driven Stone Cold Pressed works at 4 rpm and completes one cycle of oil production in 90-120 minutes (Based on the dryness of the seeds). From 12 kg of organic Niger seeds, we generate 1.8-2.0 liters of organic Niger oil. The extracted organic wooden cold pressed Niger oil is then stored in a metal barrel for 4 days to let the Niger
