Comparison of solvents for extraction of walnut oils: Lipid yield, lipid compositions, minor-component content, and antioxidant
The walnut oil extracted using ethyl acetate had a higher lipid yield, while that extracted using n-hexane had higher MUFA (C18:1) and lower PUFA (C18:2) and LLL contents. In addition, the extraction solvents did not affect the squalene content, while the extraction of walnut oil by the Folch method resulted in a higher tocopherol content.
