In 2021, the total oil refinery capacity in Algeria stood at 677 thousand barrels per calendar day. The Skikda refinery had the highest capacity, corresponding to 355 thousand barrels per calendar day, in addition to 122 thousand barrels per calendar day of condensate refinery capacity. Skikda was the leading refinery in Africa.
