Cold-pressed oil extraction of camellia seeds, IEEE Xplore
The tea oil camellia (Camellia oleifera Abel., Theaceae) is notable as an important source of edible oil (known as tea oil or camellia oil) obtained from its seeds in China. Today camellia oil with a high oleic acid content is coming more into the focus of interest since the fatty acid composition is more comparable to olive oil. The process of cold-pressed oil extraction of camellia seeds was

Cold-pressed oil extraction of camellia seeds, IEEE Xplore
The process of cold-pressed oil extraction of camellia seeds was introduced detailedly, including storage of raw material, dehulling, twin-screw pressing, and purification of crude oil. The physicochemical property of the cold-pressed camellia oil as compared to commercial refined oil was analyzed. The various quality indexes reached a high level.
Cold pressing: COS (500 g) was weighed and pressed using a Z300 screw press (Yijiayi Mechanical Equipment Co., Ltd, Hubei, China) with 5 mm orifice diameter and a screw speed of 20 r/min. The running temperature was 60 ± 10 °C and the temperature of the initial oil produced was 40 ± 2 °C.
Pilot-plant-scale test of cold-pressed oil extraction with twin-screw pressing for camellia seeds
The results indicated that the residual oil rate in press-cake of 3.6% and oil recovery of 90% over were found while the dehulled camellia seed material contained 8.0% of hulls in the kernels at a moisture content of 6.0% which was expressed in the developed twin-screw press. The maximum barrel temperatures of the twin-screw press during
The developed cold pressing process for camellia oil was investigated in a pilot plant. The results indicated that the residual oil rate in press-cake of 3.6% and oil recovery of 90% over were found while the dehulled camellia seed material contained 8.0% of hulls in the kernels at a moisture content of 6.0% which was expressed in the developed
Recent advances in the extraction, composition analysis and bioactivity of Camellia ( Camellia oleifera Abel.) oil
1. Introduction Camellia oleifera Abel. (C. oleifera), belonging to the largest genus of the family Theaceae, is known as one of the four major woody oil crops in the world, along with oil olive, oil palm, and coconut (Li et al., 2022).The production of C. oleifera is the highest among all Camellia species, the origin and largest producer of C. oleifera in the world is China, where it has been

Pretreatment Camellia Seeds by Protease and Application to Extraction of Camellia Oil, Qian, 2021, European Journal of Lipid Science
Moreover, residual oil recovery from camellia seeds subjected to 1398 neutral protease pretreatment (4 g per kg seeds) and high-temperature pretreatment are 5.62 ± 0.08% and 9.97 ± 0.18%, respectively. The enzymatic pretreatment is further applied to pre the
