Effects of supercritical CO2 extraction parameters on soybean oil yield
Highlights Supercritical CO 2 extraction of soybean oil was performed. Extraction yields were significantly affected by applied operational parameters. Applied Sovová’s model presented a good adjustment for all extraction curves. The internal and external mass transfer coefficients were estimated. The extraction was successfully scaled-up from laboratory to pilot plant.

Supercritical carbon dioxide extraction of plant phytochemicals for
In the last five years (2015–2020), most of the review works have been published regarding the extraction of valuable compounds from microalgal biomass (Yen et al., 2015), Supercritical fluid extraction of essential oils and bioactive compounds (da Silva et al., 2016; Yousefi et al., 2019), and supercritical fluid technologies for e-waste treatment (Li and Xu, 2019).
Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) is a rapid, selective and convenient method for sample preparation prior to the analysis of compounds in the volatile product of plant matrices. Also, SFE is a simple, inexpensive, fast, effective and virtually solvent-free sample pretreatment technique. This review provides a detailed and updated discussion

The chapter intends to present recent applications of SC-CO 2 extraction of selected biomolecules with potential uses in industry and provides an overview of published reports on this critical area of Green Chemistry . Table 7.1 Published reviews on the use of supercritical fluids for the extraction of biomolecules.
There are global trends for developing green and sustainable technologies in food processing, due to the growing awareness of the importance of environmental preservation and the consumer demand for natural high-value food products. Meeting these particular requirements, supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO2) has emerged as an innovative and promising technology for the processing of food
Food Processing Using Supercritical Fluids | SpringerLink
The unique thermodynamic and fluid dynamic properties of different gases used as dense fluids, e.g., sub- or supercritical fluids can be used also for integrated extraction and in situ formulation like impregnation of solid particles, for formation of solid powderous emulsions, particle coating, etc. will be presented.
Supercritical carbon dioxide (SC-CO 2) is widely used for extraction and isolation of volatile and essential oils of plants. SFE possesses valuable advantages in the extraction of various analytes, especially nonpolar compounds, from plant matrices.
